*After finishing off a young art student a couple of days ago, Butterworm, in his boredom, decides to draw a picture. In the drawing is: Butterworm as a Superhero. Courtney Crumrin shaking with fear from Butterworm's awesome strength. Butterbug trying to be a superhero too...and sadly lacking a cape! Butterworm's wish for a young morsel snack. And a figure he saw somewhere but he can't remember. He labeled most everything on there for those who do not share his art taste. He is very proud of himself.*

I am having a hard time getting Butterworm's accent right so it's just going to fluctuate the way I want it. I also know he is a LOT more talkative but so is his mun so I guess that's just an adjustment everyone will have to make too (though I know it's not a problem with any of you, I'm posting it more for myself than anyone else).

I ordered the Portrait book so I should get it soon so I know a bit more about things. Until then though let me know if bworm gets out of place.

Oh, and if anyone has a couple of good Butterworm scans or artwork send it my way so I can update icons now that I get a couple more! YAY! ^_^

^_^ It's great to be back!!!

Butterworm is quickly becoming himself again. Today he decided to try takeout. Too bad the kid delivering on the bike was too fast and rang the doorbell before Butterworm could pick off his order. He got the brat after he delivered the pizza to the old lady in the house. Not wanting to waste anything he also ate the remaining four pizzas the kid had in his pack.

Things are much too easy here with these brats hanging around. Good thing the Nexus provides for an unlimited supply of 'people no one will notice missing' or Butterworm would have tipped people off to his presence long ago. No matter, his tummy is full for now and that's all that matters.

Now if he could only figure out what it would take to get him allowed back into the Twilight Kingdom. Surely he has been through more than any other night thing that he knows and perhaps the Duchess or *gulp* the Twlight King would give him one more chance. Too bad he can't even risk going there to ask him. Such a price to pay for being such a nasty goblin...har har. But what fun is there if one has to obey all the rules of the Twilight Kingdom. He supposes that if he had obeyed all the rules and never got bannished that he would have never found such a brilliant supply of youth to sup on.

Enough thinking Butterworm. Let's go find something nasty to do....he runs off in a snap, making no noise and not even bending a branch as he jumps from limb to limb into the darkness....

Butterworm feels like himself again. It's taken longer than he thought to recover from his last encounter. Even his brief trip back to his woods didn't help him get fully back on his feet. He is back-for now. And alive and he doesn't remember much of anything that has happened since last year. The Crumrins are still around, though things smell different around their house. He has missed bugging the little brats that hang around that house-especially Courtney Crumrin.

Butterworm finds his favorite tree-it's grown up beyond real recognition and his hollow is no longer there. He stomps on the brush at the base of the tree long enough to flatten out the twigs, grass, and brambles. He makes himself a new hollow-knowing it won't be near as comfortable until he has a few clothes left over from his daily snacks to throw into the pile.

His own sweatshirt he has is in bits and pieces-barely hanging on him. It can't do for him to be like this. It's amazing what a few jolts of magic can do to one's system.

Slowly he stops preparing his hollow and starts smelling the air for any passerbys that may be able to provide him with-well, proper attire. He gets a hint of a small child in the breeze drifting by and he takes off in a full run to help himself to lunch.

A short, stout hobgoblin slowly makes his way back to the forrest outside of the Crumrin mansion. It has taken a long time for him to recover from the last journey that the little girl in the mansion cause him to be a part of. Not his sort of adventure for sure, and he has had months to 'put himself back together' and still has aftereffects of the magic that ripped right through him like he was thin air. But he is back...a little less for wear, but back...

Ok. For the next two months, I will not be able to post much during the day. I will try, but I have a girl helping me in the office so I need to boss her around and be strict and that takes time (just kidding, but I do need to help her find things to do plus the bankruptcy laws are changing in mid October and people are scampering around like mad to get their bankruptcies filed by then). I will be online in the evenings for sure and some in the mornings. This all starts Monday because she starts then. In Sept I won't be around for a whole week because I am going to Georgia to see Phantom of the Opera (and it takes me a week to do that plus all the whallowing with my best friend that I need to catch up on). Then after that sometime I hope to go visit MORE friends on the East Coast but I am not sure when that will happen just yet. SOOO Forgive the worm if he isn't around so much (but I will still get online as much as I can) in August and Sept...rest assured when those two months are over there will be MUCH partying and playing online all day long! ^_^

:) So says I cause I says so.

*Butterworm is biding his time between the Nexus and the woods near the Twilight Kingdom. He knows what that brat Blake was calling forth was indeed awakened, although it's definately not at full strength yet. He cannot tell if it is alive or dead, a Night Thing or a human...it seems to walk between life and death much like Tommy. If it's half as powerful as Tommy the entire area is in major trouble. Butterworm sits perched like a lookout in a crows nest just outside the marl-pit's boarders in a tree tall enough not to wake any Night Thing that might live in that area, he needs to keep the distractions down to watch what's going on here...He can still smell it, and it smells dead, but his other senses tell him it is very much alive and growing stronger and possibly it may be a magical being, which is only a more frightening thought. It's angry too, that the trees and every other creature in the woods can feel, that is no secret. That is what has made the birds leave sine Blake entered the area. That is what is keeping the cricket chirping at bay. That anger that feels like the whole section of forrest could spontaneously combust into a huge tower of flames. That is the thing Butterworm is afraid of. The marl-pit still has a weird glow to it, he supposes only a Night Thing as used to the area as he could notice it. Something is still bothering even the marl-pit itself. Something has come and it's big...and Butterworm is on the lookout for it so he can high tail it out of here when he sees any trace of it coming near. He's not stupid!*

((sound too much like a movie trailer? LOL))

*Butterworm scampers back into the woods that he calls home, the ones outside Crumrin Mansion. He actually would like to see Courtney Crumrin right now, as much as he hates admitting it. He knows of very few times the Dark Duchess has been out of the Twilight Kingdom, and mainly then it's to retrieve a child. She is alone this time which is even more frightening, no big cats spotted as of yet and he cannot even smell them so it's doubtful they followed her. Butterworm himself has no idea of the extent of her power as a Night Thing. She is as mysterious and only slightly less powerful than the Twilight King and it frightens Butterworm that she now knows where he stays and what he is up to. Courtney Crumrin needs to know that she is out and that she is looking for Skarrow. If she finds him, she will return him to her palace and never let him leave again. Crumrin wanted him to keep her informed on Skarrow so she better show up soon so he can alert her. Actually, since he is bound he decides to make his way to the Crumrin Mansion. He will have better luck finding her there than waiting on her to come to him...so he sets off quickly and silently as ever to alert the girl.*
